The inhumane conditions at Regional Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGeSo) in Berlin has become a world-wide synonym for the German authorities failure in the refugee crisis. Every day, hundreds of refugees are waiting on the LAGeSo to register, to get a place in an emergency shelter, a little pocket money or a health insurance voucher. Many of them have been waiting since weeks in bad weather and low temperatures for an appointment with the staff members. Without the constant help of volunteers the deterioration of the situation would be continue.
