Many refugees now sleep in emergency reception centers around Berlin waiting for their registration interview at “LaGeSo”. Authorities use innovative thinking to create accommodation, like in the landmark ‘Internationales Congress Centrum’ (ICC) Berlin complex (trade fair halls). The hall was was quickly set up last Thursday, with bunk beds, a child’s playing area and dinning room. For refugees now, their daily life has suddenly transformed from constantly moving, to waiting.
