Germany, Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, March 15, 2017, Nujeen Mustafa (18) was born 40 days prematurely with tetraspasticity, also known as cerebral palsy. As member of Syria´s largest ethnic minority her family had to fear that they would be targeted by ISIS, which set up its headquarter less than 100 miles from their hometown. Because of this, Nujeen decided 2015 to escape from Syria to Germany in her wheelchair. Now she lives in a Cologne suburb with two sisters and four nieces and waiting for the outcome of her asylum application. Here: Nujeen visits Cologne with her brother Shiar Abdi (44).
